stripes, chambray and layers

A Monday post! Isn't that somewhat surprising? Perhaps it was the snow day on Saturday or the 3.5 hours of NPH bombing at the Oscars last night but I've actually written a post for a Monday. Hold the applause.

I'm not much of a movie buff. I admittedly don't have the attention span. So for the most past, the Oscars are all about the dresses for me since its likely I haven't seen most of the nominated movies. Big surprise. But there's this other part of me that loves the speeches. Watching the Oscars is bit like watching the Super Bowl or the Olympics; we are watching someone live out their dreams. But unlike the Super Bowl or the Olympics, the Oscars give us the opportunity hear the response from someone who just achieved what they have been working towards presumably the greater part of their life. It's a hugely personal moment that is shared with us as viewers and it leads to awesome moments like Graham Moore encouraging us to "Stay weird. Stay different."

It's kinda hard not to be inspired by that joy and let those warm fuzzies carry into Monday.

Happy Monday!

XO
